Centers for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter  is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. The personal information you share with Center for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter will be used to support the administration and management of ministries, delivery of services and maintaining programs offered by Center for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter. We protect the personal information and adhere to all legislative requirements with respect to protecting privacy in accordance with the Barbados Protection Act 2019.

Why Does the Center for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter  Gather Personal Information?

Personal information is any information that identifies you as an individual. The Oakland Center for Spiritual Living collects personal information for a variety of purposes, such as: ​

 

• Church Membership registration and listings;

• Class and/or event registration;

• Volunteer and leadership development;

• Program and service registration;
  administration (tithing, offerings, donations, etc.)

• Online Shopping for Merchandise & books  and other religious and spiritual items;

• Counseling, prayer support, Spiritual Guidance and Support; and

• Church

 

How Does the Center for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter  ensure privacy protections?

We collect, use and disclose personal information only for the purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate for the administration and management of a Center/Chapter organization. Access to your personal information is on a “need to know” basis.

We inform our Center/Chapter personnel and volunteers of the importance of protecting your personal information. We will also advise all Center/ Chapter volunteers that personal information obtained during their service cannot be used for any purposes other than authorized by Center’s/Chapter’s ministry.

We will maintain adequate physical, procedural and electronic security with respect to offices and information storage facilities (e.g. filing cabinets) so as to protect personal information against such risks as unauthorized access, use, disclosure or destruction.

Donations & Offerings
Access to information regarding your tithes, donations and offerings to the Center for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter  is restricted to the volunteers who collect, count and record the offerings; the Center’s/Chapter’s Administrators for processing your income tax receipts; the Finance Representative who handles the records; the Senior Minister and the Board Treasurer.

You have the right to request access to information about your tithes and offerings. However, you do not have the right to access tithing/offering information to other identifiable Center for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter  members. You may access aggregate tithing/offering information not linked to an identifiable member.  All requests for access must be submitted to the Center’s/Chapter office and we will endeavor to respond to your access request as soon as possible.

Online Payments

We will not save or store your banking information.

Prayer Requests
We encourage our members to share their prayer requests online, in the prayer box or with a practitioner or minister. We may include your name in a prayer list during the service but only if you request it. We recognize that some requests are sensitive and very personal in nature. Although some details may be shared with other practitioners/ministers in prayer, we do not share confidential information with other members.

We offer a prayer room where individuals can pray with practitioners after Sunday services. This is a shared room and privacy cannot be guaranteed.

The Center for Spiritual Living Barbados Teaching Chapter Website and Social Media

We will carefully review the purpose and need before posting personal information on our Center/Chapter website or on social media. However, photos may be taken at Center/Chapter events, services, etc. and posted. If you do not want your photo or name used, please contact us with this request.
